Following an exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2010, an account is available http://www.libmma.org/digital/2013/08/0 ... -settings/

in this page you have the link to the book mentioned in subject :
"Serviettes and how to Fold Them" (Belfast: Robinson & Cleaver, ca.1890,)
You can see the book directly http://libmma.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/co ... 8884/rec/1

Saddly the link to a 2nd book "Kniffe zum Servietten Kniffen: der Hausfrau gewidmet" (Braunschweig: Gebrüder Ring, ca.1900) is out of order.

Thanks Michel, it looks like a very interesting book. Pity that the link to the German book they mention isn't working.

Are you going to the convention next week?

You can see the cover and one page of "Kniffe zum Servietten Kniffen: der Hausfrau gewidmet" (Braunschweig: Gebrüder Ring) here http://www.aller-leih.com/product/brosc ... n-kniffen/ where is dated for the 50's.
And in the end of this page http://historymania.info/view_post.php?id=271 you have a photo of a double page of the book that is dated 1930...

But, as you "push me", I have found a new link for the complete book
http://libmma.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm/re ... ll13/id/32

Saddly I can't go to the next "Didaktiks" in Freiburg in Breisgau...
