Exhibition catalogue: "Plane Geometry and Fancy Figures"

From David Lister's excellent article on Gershon Legman:

In March 1959 Lillian Oppenhimer travelled to Japan to meet Akira Yoshizawa and later in the year she helped to organise "Plane Geometry and Fancy Figures", an exhibition of artistic and geometrical paperfolding at the Cooper Union Museum at New York. Legman sent his collection to New York and Yoshizawa's creations were once more displayed to an enthusiastic public in one of the great cities of the Western world.

In 1961, Samuel Randlett has published : "The art of origami"
The preface by Lilian Oppenheimer is followed by an introduction.
This introduction is by Edward Kallop (Associate Curator of Exhibitions, Cooper Union Museum for the Arts of Decoration) is a reproduction in-extenso of the introduction of catalogue (p. 3 to 8) mentioned in the post before.

The Unamuno letters are an interesting link to the past via this rather important exhibition.

And thanks Michel for pointing out "The Art of Origami". I've had that book for years but I don't think I ever really read the introduction.
