Miguel de Unamuno
(born Sept. 29, 1864, Bilbao, Spain — died Dec. 31, 1936, Salamanca)

Spanish writer and philosopher. He was the first to take the European paperfolding tradition as a serious scientific matter. He invented some advanced models for his time and published many texts in reference to this art, the most famous of which is the 'Tratado de Cocotologia' (1902)

The University of Salamanca is digitizing funds the Casa-Museo de Unamuno and free access to them.

Besides the aforementioned links Unamuno, the Casa Museo de Unamuno is digitizing drawings by the philosopher, regarding him photographs and letters received from America.

Which feeling Miguel de Unamuno!
With his thinking about the folding lines, he can be considered a pioneer of the folding symbols before Akira Yoshizawa
Here the transcription of Unamunos spanish hand wrotten notes about "Method of drawing" and a translation into english.
