Origami in Vietnam

Doing some research on the traditional waterbomb-base tulip-- seems it was introduced to the Western origami scene in the 80s, and is either of Vietnamese or Thai origin, depending on who you ask. I was wondering, has anybody run across evidence of traditional folding in Southeast Asian countries? I was only aware of traditions in Japan, Korea, and some parts of China. Any information would be helpful.
