A general selection of designs aimed at the beginner or anyone who enjoys simple, elegant designs. I was especially pleased to present work by Shen, Lam and Diaz, who rarely appear in print. The box forms a cardboard sleeve around a soft-backed book, along with a plastic container with some decorative paper inside.

Oh yes, you get an essential plastic origami folding tool, which will double as a dibber if you're into growing flowers. Whether people will continue to use the binder when they've exhausted the paper is another matter, especially if shelf space is tight, but one hopes so ;)

Published by Firefly (an imprint of Quarto), the book itself has turned out really well. I couldn't have asked for better presentation and the step folds are large on the page - something that sometimes gets overlooked. The book itself is a little insubstantial - anything in a gift box seems to be softback. It was especially nice to publish a Shen design, having sought permission from his widow. He has a huge collection of superb designs, few of which have been seen in a "real" book.
